Beekeeping Suits

Our beekeeping suits give you full-body protection without the heat build-up that makes long days in the apiary miserable. Each suit uses a 3-layer ventilated mesh construction in a polyester-cotton blend, which keeps the outer fabric held away from your skin so air can keep moving underneath while you work.

Choose your veil
Our suits come with one of two veil styles:

  • Fencing-style veil: a wider, semi-rigid hood that keeps the mesh well clear of your face and gives you an unobstructed field of view.
  • Round veil: a softer, rounded design that sits closer to the head and packs down smaller, which is handy for travel or storage.

Built for real apiary work

Depending on the model, you’ll find knee reinforcement for kneeling at the hive, elasticated wrist and ankle cuffs to close off gaps, heavy-duty front zippers and zippered pockets for your tools. The exact combination varies by style, so check each product page for details.

Getting the right fit

Fit matters more in a suit than in almost any other piece of beekeeping gear. If it’s too tight, wind or movement can press the mesh against your skin. If it’s too loose, fabric can snag on frames or drag through the grass. Check the size chart on each product page before you order.

Which suit suits you?

If you spend full days in the apiary during summer, look closely at ventilation and mesh coverage. If you want a lighter suit for occasional inspections, weight and packability may matter more.

Our suits are available in white, khaki and olive green, and they suit hobby and professional beekeepers alike. Browse the range below, and pair your suit with beekeeping gloves to complete your setup.

FAQ

What is a ventilated beekeeping suit?

It’s a suit made with layered mesh that lets air pass through while keeping a barrier between the bees and your skin. This keeps you cooler than a solid-fabric suit, especially in warm weather.

Fencing veil or round veil: which should I choose?

A fencing veil gives more room and a clearer view, so it’s a good choice if you work for long stretches. A round veil is softer and packs down smaller, so it suits occasional use and easy storage.

Why are white, khaki and olive green the usual colors?

Light, neutral colors are the traditional choice for beekeeping, so many beekeepers prefer them. The color that works best for you is your call, and all three are in stock.

How should a beekeeping suit fit?

It should be loose enough that the mesh doesn’t press against your skin when you move or when it’s windy, but not so loose that it catches on hive frames or drags on the ground. Layers underneath can change the fit, so consider that when choosing a size.

Are the suits suitable for beginners?

Yes. The suits cover hobby and professional use, and the veil and fit guidance above applies to both.
